Your area of work

The primary focus of Due Diligence & Supervision is to ensure adherence to relevant rules and regulations at every stage of the client lifecycle. This includes due diligence during client onboarding, the admission of exchange traders monitoring of MiFiR and non-MiFiR clients' reporting obligations, and maintenance of the business relationship in light of fulfilling regulatory requirements, whilst ensuring customer friendly experience through digitization initiatives. Our team provides exceptional services across a wide range of trading and clearing markets, both directly to clients and as domain experts for internal interfaces. Within the Client Service, Trading & Clearing department, we execute Anti-Money Laundering practices, coordinate audits and controls, facilitate administrative practices of public exchanges and monitor GDPR compliance initiatives. In line with our department's strategy, we contribute to our ultimate goal of being the benchmark in service provision among exchange and clearing operators.
As an Intern (f/m/d) in the Regulatory Admissions & Governance Unit, you will be mainly responsible for the data quality within our processes and maintenance of client documentations. You will support the department in KPI analysis of change management and onboarding cases, along with coordination with involved stakeholders and reporting to the management. Additionally, you will assist the team and line management in coherent process documentations, drafting guidelines and ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Your responsibilities:
  • Your main area of responsibility will be ensuring the quality of our processes vis-à-vis internal guidelines and procedures
  • You will support our team by maintaining process descriptions, managing data and by creating business/administrative documents
  • You will maintain KPI sheet, perform KPI analysis, coordinate individual cases and present the results to the stakeholders
  • You will maintain and develop reports/dashboards with Artificial Intelligence and automation practices
  • You will assist the team in tracking, coordinating, and responding to client queries where necessary
  • In addition, you will support Regulatory Admissions & Governance team in daily business regarding various tasks and projects

Your profile:
  • You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and have completed at least two semesters. Furthermore, we offer the possibility of an orientation internship, whereby you are currently in a gap-year after your bachelor's or master's degree in the above-mentioned fields of study - in this case, an enrolment is not required
  • Ideally, you have already gained first practical experience in the financial markets area
  • You have basic knowledge in Finance, Capital Markets, as well as Financial Regulations
  • You are client services orientated and with your advanced communication skills, you will ensure high stakeholder satisfaction
  • You are highly motivated, flexible, open for challenges and ready to take on responsibility
  • You are a very good team player, have a strong organizational skills and proactive work ethic
  • You bring strong analytical and technical skills
  • In addition, you have very good knowledge in MS Office applications
  • Moreover, you are fluent in English. German language skills will be an asset
