- Advanced English language skills, German skills are beneficial but not required
- Bachelor student graduating in 2027 or 2028 OR
- Master student graduating in 2028, OR
- Gap year between your bachelor and masters degree
- Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships)
- Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details
Start Date
This internship is available for a length of between 3 and 6 months, starting on any date between 18 January and 30 April 2027.
If you are not available during this period, please apply for a Summer & Fall 2027 Internship instead. Those applications open in mid-September 2026.

About the DWS Internship
The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.

About the Team
The Client Coverage Division (CCD) is responsible for the global distribution of DWS' entire product range and for serving customers and distribution partners. Customers and distribution partners include credit institutions, investment companies, family offices, insurance companies, pension funds and investment funds, as well as public institutions and bodies (e.g. federal or state governments) and non-profit organizations, such as churches and foundations.
The following Client Coverage Division teams are looking for interns:

CCD Alternatives Solutions
The CCD Alternatives Team acts as a specialist interface between clients, portfolio managers, investment teams and product specialists. Working across Global Client Coverage, Investments and Product, the team helps shape client solutions, support fundraising and drive the growth of DWS’ Alternatives business. As an intern, you will gain first-hand exposure to the alternatives investment value chain and work directly with senior professionals across the business.
Our Alternatives platform is built around four core pillars:
- Infrastructure
- Real Estate
- Private Debt
- Multi-Alternatives Solutions
As our DWS Intern, you will:
- Support client engagement, fundraising, presentations, marketing campaigns and investor communications.
- Work with Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt and Multi-Alternatives teams to translate strategies into client solutions.
- Support sales and fundraising strategies through research, tracking, analytics and competitive intelligence.
- Coordinate investment content for client proposals, RFPs and due diligence processes.
- Contribute to thought leadership, market updates and strategic initiatives.
- Gain exposure to senior stakeholders and the fast-growing private markets industry.
CCD Central COO Office
The Client Coverage Central COO office is responsible for global sales management, business development issues across all regions and the division's workforce management organization. We also coordinate the Client Coverage Division's main customer relationships and partnerships and support the divisional leadership in formulating and executing the strategic agenda. Moreover, the segments of Product Marketing, Data & Sales Intelligence, as well as Performance Management and Workforce & Resource Management are part of the Central COO Office.
On a daily basis, we deal with diverse aspects of managing a global sales organization and aligning between various hierarchical levels of the organization, including top management. Our team focuses on the successful implementation of strategic initiatives through all levels of the Client Coverage Division globally.
As our DWS Intern you will:
- Analyze sales, market, competitor and industry data to support management reporting and CCD strategy
- Support strategic initiatives, implementation projects and digital transformation efforts across the Client Coverage Division
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses, decision materials and presentations for senior management, committees and key stakeholders
- Create and tailor client-facing materials such as presentations, two-pagers and Fund in Focus content in collaboration with sales, product specialists and agencies
- Collaborate across DWS divisions, regions and organizational levels to align stakeholders and support successful execution of CCD priorities
Global Key Partners Coverage
Global Key Partners Coverage serves as the central interface for DWS’ global key partner relationships, connecting regional teams and divisional stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and consistent client approach. The team translates complex, cross-regional client needs into aligned action, senior engagement and tangible business opportunities. Its focus includes global partnerships, executive engagement and summits, as well as the development and execution of long-term client strategies.
As our DWS Intern you will:
- Support global alignment and coordination across Sales, Product Specialists, Portfolio Management, and senior stakeholders
- Help convert partner interactions into pipeline insights and actionable follow-ups to strengthen long-term partnerships
- Act as a key liaison between executive management and partners
- Support a broad range of activities, including presentations, client engagement and global strategy development
Internship Requirements
All CCD Teams are looking for:
- Advanced English language skills, German skills are beneficial but not required
- Excellent command of MS Office applications, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills as well as a structured approach to work on complex projects
- Keen interest in financial services and ability to quickly grasp new and complex topics; prior relevant experience is not required
- Passionate, ambitious and collaborative team member
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and ability to think outside the box
- Eligibility based on the eligibility criteria mentioned at the top of this post
